Reminder: Proof Of Overunity Demo At 1600hrs GMT - LIVE

Saturday, January 30, 2010

Steorn will conduct their final experiment on Saturday at 1600hrs GMT. The experiment is called "Proving Overunity" and will be streamed LIVE on steorn.com. If you miss out on the live show then don't worry as it is being recorded and will be uploaded to YouTube within a few days.

Steorn will be showing their Orbo technology producing MORE electrical energy than it is consuming. This is in direct contravention of some basic physical laws that science would have us believe hold 100% of the time.

Jury: No evidence of energy production - "is not full truth" - Steorn.

Friday, January 22, 2010

They say a week in politics is a long time. However, politics has nothing on the fast pace of events in the world of Steorn, so I will attempt to bring you up to date.

First of all there have been some developments with the Steorn "jury".

Ian R MacDonald (Chairman Of The Steorn "Jury") has emerged on the scene again. He has been given a functioning account on the Steorn Forum and has posted a couple of times after being in email contact with Steorn.

From that contact emerged this statement from Steorn:

Folks,

Just to clarify/correct a comment that I had made previously in the forum where I stated that Steorn was not allowed to release the Jury report. The statement is not entirely correct, we (Steorn) would not have been allowed to release the Jury report with the names of the Jurors. It is the opinion of the Jury that Steorn is specifically denied the right to use Jurors names in the public domain.

Hope this clears this up, I will not be commenting on the details of this any further.

Thanks,
Sean

So basically, the jury were telling Steorn that they could publish the jury report, but only if the names of the jurors were kept secret.  Why this would have been an issue is not clear, since the jury's own site voluntarily listed 16 of the 22 members names back at the time of their original statement, in fact some of them even went further and posted bios and career resumes, so why now the request for silence?.

Further than that, a statement from back on 1st December 2006 says:

"The jury have all agreed to see the testing process through to its completion and have their names and findings disclosed once the testing is complete. Steorn has agreed not to identify members of the jury until the results are made public, to protect their privacy and avoid unnecessary interruptions to their work."

Why are the jury are now refusing to put their names to THEIR OWN REPORT despite agreeing to this in 2006?

Also puzzling is the chairman's decision to post and interact with another well known foul mouthed Steorn debunkers forum referred to hereafter as the "other forum".

Later the same day Steorn posted the following on the forum:

Folks,

First I would like to welcome Ian to the Steorn forum and was unaware that he had made a decision to post in the 'other forum'.

As you are aware it is opinion of the Jury that Steorn is unable to name the members of the Jury. As such any document that we may decide to put into the public domain are without provenance and we must question the value of doing this.

However we are aware that several independent news media organization have interviewed members of the Jury and we expect publication of these interviews in the near term.

So, as with all things ultimately the truth will surface.

Thanks,

Sean

So why now are some jury members choosing to conduct media interviews and not back at the time of the initial jury statement? What is so special about the jury interacting with the media NOW?

Given the fact that Steorn are about to launch the SKDB in 10 days, is there something we should read into the coincidental timing of these as yet unpublished jury member interviews? One would hope that this would be an attempt by some members to simply set the record straight, and NOT an attempt to take media focus away from the SKDB launch.

Steorn posted again later in the day:

It has been the opinion of our legal firm that we have every right to issue the statements made by the Jury to Steorn and the names of those involved. We had made an internal decision that any action against the company by the Jury would not be productive. This is a decision that we are now reconsidering, we are firmly of the opinion that the statement made by the Jury of "no evidence of energy production" is not the full truth. This fact and the decision of the Chairman of the Jury to selectively answer questions on the "other forum" has forced us to actively considering issuing Jury information that we are advised that we are well within our legal rights to do.

In other news from The Waterways Demo:

Experiment - No Depletion Of The Magnetic Domain Energy (To prove the energy Isn't coming from the magnets themselves)

Steorn are currently running a week long "soak test" on one of the Orbo rigs at the Waterways Centre.  The soak test involves measuring the energy of the magnetic domains in the neodymium magnets at the start, then after a full week of constant running the energy contained in the magnetic domains of the magnets will be re-tested and should not have depleted.  This will prove that the domain energy stored in the magnets is not being used up to perform the work of turning the rotor.

Steorn have now confirmed that for this experiment they are using  optical switching to manage the pulsing of the coils. The reed switches used previously are proving unreliable for a constant week long soak test.

Steorn Examine Attempted Replications Of Orbo Technology

A video produced just yesterday highlighting the differences between Orbo and the attempted replications so far.  In the video we can see that the replication attempts so far have not cancelled CEMF properly and are therefore not true replications. With CEMF still in these systems they are just still pulse motors.

No doubt as more information is shared that this will change and we'll start to see some valid 3rd party replications.

Just Peer Review It! : And Other Nonsense Comments

Monday, January 11, 2010

Have you seen this type of comment recently regarding Steorn? I've seen it countless times now in the past 3 weeks.

"Until they publish a paper in a peer-reviewed physics journal, I'd suggest ignoring them. A number of crackpots, both self-deluding and scammers, have made claims about perpetual motion machines before, with each claim getting shot down after analysis"

What this guy and all the other "experts" forget about scientific journals and the system of peer review is that science and more importantly ($$$ scientific funding $$$) is based on reputation.  If you don't play the game and do your scientific work within the boundaries of accepted science then you will NEVER get a peer review.

The guys responsible for peer review and who write these journals won't touch the subject of free energy with a bargepole for fear of being associated with tsc tsc...something so ludicrous.  Heaven forbid they push the frontiers of knowledge by trying to understand something that doesn't fit the accepted view.  No, no - better to keep the status quo than have the funding cut.

So just quit with the "Peer review it!" crap as it is not a viable method for acceptance of free energy.

Rescheduling of Talk 2 on
Steorn’s Orbo Electromagnetic Interaction COP>1
for week beginning 11th January 2010

Since the launch of Orbo technology on 15th December 2009, Steorn has received a large number of visits to the Waterways centre in Dublin and several hundred direct enquiries from both private and commercial technology developers and from members of the scientific community regarding this groundbreaking energy technology.

Unfortunately, several key people are unable to attend this evening’s presentation due to the unusually severe weather conditions. As a result, the company has taken the decision to reschedule tonight’s Talk 2. Steorn will host the Talk “Orbo Electromagnetic Interaction COP>1” next week and will issue an announcement concerning the appointed day and time on Monday.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to people who had planned to travel to the Waterways this evening or watch the talk via Steorn’s website.

The Steorn Jury : "Never seen the prototype running"

Monday, January 4, 2010

STEORN JURY MADE STATEMENT HAVING NEVER SEEN ORBO RUNNING

In what will be a massive blow to skeptics and debunkers worldwide, French jury member and internationally respected physicist Jean-Paul Biberian admits to online Canadian site Cyberpress.ca that the Steorn jury never even seen the Orbo prototype running. Hardly surprising then that they made this statement back in 2009:

"The unanimous verdict of the Jury is that Steorn's attempts to demonstrate the claim have not shown the production of energy".

If you don't see anything running you're never going to be able to measure energy production. It is now clear from today's revelations that the reason the jury did not see the production of energy is that they did not see an Orbo in operation and could never have formed an opinion.  Why then we ask, does the statement not read "Due to never having seen a physical prototype running we the jury cannot either confirm or deny the production of energy"?

This is most bizarre.

The choice of words in the original jury statement leaves the statement wide open to misinterpretation by the public and press that Steorn's technology had been potentially disproven when in actual fact it was NEVER EVEN TESTED!!

In reality this is exactly what happened at the time.

Dozens of well known online websites and publications published damning accounts of Steorn's technology on the strength of this single original jury statement, and as FE Truth pointed out at the time "there is a much more complicated story going on" Now we know this to be the case. We invite those publications to amend their original articles in light of this new information.

Here is the translation of the interview from Cyberpress.ca

Jean-Paul Biberian, engineer in nuclear physics, belonged to the initial jury. Joined to Marseilles by the Sun, it observed that the apparatus revealed in Dublin is different from the technology initially announced in 2006.

“They replaced permanent magnets by reels supplied with a battery. It is completely different from what one had shown us. They do not prove anything the whole with this demonstration. One does not know how much energy is consumed, nor how much is recovered. With the jury, one had never been able to decide because one had never seen the prototype moving, but according to me that does not go. They think of being fallen on a phenomenon by chance, but they do not have a theoretical explanation to support it. I would like well that the law of the conservation of energy is not valid, but unfortunately, according to me, it always holds…” he with a burst of laughter concludes.

Steorn: Test Orbo Yourself With Your Own Equipment

Sunday, January 3, 2010

Orbo Working Away: Image credit to Esa Ruoho @ lackluster.org

Last night on the Steorn public forum Steorn have been answering some queries and have made their boldest statement to date regarding independent testing.  In a reply to ZDNet journalist Rupert Goodwins who asked about the format and protocol of the Orbo tests, Steorn CEO Sean Mccarthy had this to say:

Hi Rupert,

We will be placing a system in the Waterways and will allow people to bring their own test equipment (or use ours) - and you can test a system the way you see fit. Note that all tests like this will be done under the supervision of one of engineers - this is simply to prevent someone who might want to break a system apart. However no reasonable request will be refused.

Sean

Later, Sean responded to other folks.

alourinho: "Hello, Will the third experiment consider as part of the input the energy needed to create the permanent magnets? I believe it is important to consider this portion of the energy, given that it is involved in ORBO manufacturing process, though indirectly. Kind regards."

Steorn: "The second experiment addresses the energy of the magnets themselves - i.e. we will demonstrate that there is no 'draining' of the domain energy of the magnets."

...and later another interesting point.

Steorn: "Ok - thats the basics - the inductance of a coil is LESS in the presence of an external field. What this means in our system is that you get a greater energy return from the collapse of the field of the EM than the energy it took to create the field, because at the point of field construction you have lower inductance than when the field collapses - hence you get an inductance energy gain thru the interaction rather than the inductance loss that was being discussed in this thread."

"While the greater return from inductance is interesting - what really counts is that you get this extra inductance energy and the rotor does work - and quite a lot of work.

Happy New Year from Down Under!

What a post we have to kick start 2010.  Feast your eyes below.

One of our most talented builders in the SKDB "ClaNZeR" has been given permission by Steorn to publish some of the work that's been going on behind the scenes in the SKDB (Steorn Knowledge Development Base).

The SKDB is the elearning and collaboration nerve centre for developing Steorn's free energy technology Orbo. The OS / SKDB have been operating behind closed doors for over 2 years now and this is the first ever glimpse of some of the superb work achieved by teams in 4 countries featuring excellent build work by ClaNZeR.

In ClaNZeR's own words: "Within the OS/SKDB myself and a few other members did a joint effort to get some rigs out to members for experimenting with and doing certain tests. Parts were sourced/designed/made in 4 different countries and despatched out compliments of Steorn funding it. These were just basic frames that members then built on."

SKDB prototypes awaiting shipping to worldwide destinations.
