Andrea Rossi Inside The 1MW Plant

NY Teknik Conclusion

"Still, the measurements should lead to the conclusion that this model of the E-cat produced heat at a power of at least 2 to 3 kilowatts in self sustained mode, in this case supposedly with only one of three reactors inside the casing in operation". - Mats Lewan (NY Teknik)

FOCUS Magazine

"The calculations made on the measurement of temperature on the secondary circuit are in fact "conservative" means that the entire test was evaluated for defects, neglecting the heat loss from the E-Cat and the exchanger and the heat exchanger efficiency .

Finally, is the first time that an E-Cat has worked in self-sustaining for a long period, at least in public.

All this should lead to the conclusion that the idea works of Rossi and that even if science does find it hard to accept it or, more simply, even if the "reason" to think that nothing is so determined to get it for free. But there are always questions the next day."
-Raymond Zreick (FOCUS Magazine)

At the center, Andrea Rossi indicates the location of the thermocouple on the heat exchanger.
Rossi Receives A Round Of Applause
"Thirty people, including scientists, business representatives and journalists from Sweden, the USA, China, Italy. Together we have inspected to the rotation and for the whole day, in small groups, the place where he was operating the machine, to see what was going on, check charts, and measuring instruments and talk of his future projects with Rossi"

It works i.e. gives some excess energy of still unknown origin.
But excess energy is only a necessary condition for being a real energy source. For a short list of the other conditions see please: http://egooutpeters.blogspot.com/2011/05/buying-e-cat-in-sack.html
Actually explosives also give excess energy but cannot be considered a source of energy.
Let;s be realistic and let's think according to the basic rules of engineering the E-cat has a long way to go to be an energy source able to replace other sources.
