NEW Steorn Demo! - Solid State Public Demonstration This Saturday

Steorn is a research and development company that began life in the field of electronic fraud counter-measures. 'In 2004, whilst investigating power supply options for a project, we discovered a curious anomaly in which the manipulation of magnetic interactions appeared to create energy. Although it seemed impossible at first – it runs contrary to one of the central tenets of physics – extensive research convinced us that the phenomenon is very real.

'Test after test after test has produced the same result: the Orbo effect, as we have dubbed it, means that a system can produce more energy that it consumes. Over the years, we have developed a number of test configurations with the ultimate aim of allowing any competent individual to validate our claims for themselves. We are confident that our latest configuration – Solid State Orbo – does just that. For our Dublin Innovation event, we propose to invite interested parties to our office in Dublin 3. There, Sean McCarthy, our CEO, will give a short presentation on Orbo, followed by a demonstration of the Solid State configuration. The event will conclude with a Q & A session. Since this technology is controversial, to say the least, we expect the event to be quite lively.'

But even the very idea that such changes could emanate from a small company in Dublin should excite anyone with a genuine interest in innovation.'

Update: Steorn Talk Rescheduled Until Next Week

Rescheduling of Talk 2 on
Steorn’s Orbo Electromagnetic Interaction COP>1
for week beginning 11th January 2010

Since the launch of Orbo technology on 15th December 2009, Steorn has received a large number of visits to the Waterways centre in Dublin and several hundred direct enquiries from both private and commercial technology developers and from members of the scientific community regarding this groundbreaking energy technology. 

Unfortunately, several key people are unable to attend this evening’s presentation due to the unusually severe weather conditions. As a result, the company has taken the decision to reschedule tonight’s Talk 2. Steorn will host the Talk “Orbo Electromagnetic Interaction COP>1” next week and will issue an announcement concerning the appointed day and time on Monday.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to people who had planned to travel to the Waterways this evening or watch the talk via Steorn’s website.

Member Of Public Shares His Impression Of Visiting Orbo Demo

After visiting the Steorn demo in Dublin, an ordinary member of the public shares his enthusiasm for the technology and for what it could mean for the world.  He seems very impressed with the 3 demonstration devices on display and the impressive setup at the Waterways Visitor Centre in Dublin.

You may need to listen carefully as the sound quality is less than impressive and he is speaking in a soft Irish accent.

The demo has now ceased until after Christmas and New Year.  It resumes again on the 5th January where you will be able to visit in person or view it online.

Steorn Orbo Demo 2 - What's Happening?

Some weeks ago we told you that the the original camera feed URLs had been re-activated. Since then, they have remained the same - displaying a live "holding page cam" view of Big Ben and The London Eye.

Why would AStream (the webcam company) resurrect the feeds for no apparent reason? After the Kinetica demo the pages were completely removed and all anyone got was a "page not found" error. Now and for the last 3-4 weeks they've been re-instated, all be it, without a spinning Orbo yet.

When Steorn get round to doing demo number 2 I would expect them to use AStream again, so it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on those cams every now and then. Sean has said in recent interviews that they'll be doing another demo in the near future - that was weeks ago now.

I would expect this to occur by the end of the year, maybe even much sooner. There is some speculation from the forums on an August 17th- 18th date, but it is largely without substance.
