 The All Electric Tesla Roadster

Toyota is to invest $50m (£35m) in US electric car company Tesla Motors, as the two firms announced a joint partnership to build electric vehicles.

The deal will give the Japanese giant a stake of about 2.5% in Tesla, which will build its new saloon model at a Toyota factory near San Francisco.

Analysts said Tesla, which was only formed in 2003, will benefit from Toyota's mass production skills.

In turn, Toyota will be able to access Tesla's electric battery expertise.

NASA scientists Nelson & House Willing To Verify Overunity Electromagnetic Machines

Thursday, May 20, 2010

A couple of NASA scientists, Mike Nelson and Ken House, who work on the Space Shuttle project in Huntsville, Alabama have been following the free energy world for years and would like to believe that Tesla type of technology is possible that harnesses limitless energy from the environment via electromagnetic means.

However, this is not a free-for-all invitation for anyone who thinks they have an overunity device. Mike and Ken's pre-requisites are pretty stringent.

In their spare time, they are willing to put their reputation at stake in validating bona fide electromagnetic overunity (more energy out than what was put in). But "spare time" is the key word. They don't have much of it, so they don't want to spend time on things that haven't first been tested to show overunity by others; and they want to review the data that has been collected.

BBC: "North Korea Reports Nuclear Fusion Success"

Thursday, May 13, 2010

North Korea has announced that it has made significant progress towards the development of thermo-nuclear power.

It is a claim that is likely to be met with some scepticism. Despite hopes that the technology can produce large quantities of cheap, clean energy, no country has so far succeeded in making it work.

Steorn Forum Gone

Thursday, May 6, 2010

A couple of days ago the Steorn Forum was completely removed. It is not clear whether this is a temporary thing, if it's going to be replaced with different forum software or if it has been removed permanently.

In the mean time you can chat here.

Steorn Presentation In London

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Steorn gave a talk / demonstration on Thursday 29th April for The Engineering Club. The event took place at The Building Centre, Store Street, London.

The Engineering Club, in a spirit of sceptical open-minded enquiry, is hosting a talk by Sean McCarthy, CEO of Steorn to discuss their development of Orbo technology. Although they have yet to convince the wider scientific community, their claim is that Orbo can create a free, clean and constant energy supply. While seemingly in violation of the Law of Conservation of Energy, the creation of such an unlimited energy source would be truly unprecedented, resulting in the transformation of global energy sourcing. We hope you can join us to hear about this new technology and debate its merits in what promises to be a fascinating and controversial talk. You are welcome to bring your own measuring device to calculate the amount of electricity produced by Orbo.

This is a free event. Booking is essential.

From the website:

"THE ENGINEERING CLUB was founded over fifteen years ago to host talks about the broad culture of engineering in an informal setting. The talks are free to attend, with refreshments and a lively and informed discussion afterwards. All are welcome, but we especially encourage young engineers to attend. The Engineering Club is hosted by local engineering practices and organised by The Building Centre."

Electrical Engineer: My Solid State Orbo Blog And Results

Friday, April 30, 2010

Phil Watson (not initially pictured here) is featured on this video from over a year ago.

One of the 3 engineers featured on the Steorn video "Engineers' view of Steorn's Orbo technology" - Phil Watson, has set up his own blog to document the process of testing the new Solid State Orbo system and has stated he will take a working device on tour locally.

Phil Watson is an accomplished electrical engineer based in Ireland and was one of three independent engineers who over a year ago, confirmed unexplainable gains of energy in Steorn test rigs they built themselves.

On his blog Phil says:

"Steorn first demonstrated the Orbo to me in 2008. What was demonstrated back then was a ‘Test-Rig’ that could be used to detect, measure and record the anomaly that Steorn had claimed they discovered".

"The next generation of Orbo was the one demonstrated in Dublin in january 2010. Since then Steorn have launched yet another version. This one being the ‘Solid State’ (as Steorn call it) model. It is this model that I am carrying out independent tests on."

"The Solid State Orbo is comprised of several solenoids and a toroid."

"I am not going to claim anything about this devices (sic) and it’s apparent anomaly but I won’t hide from the results either. Unlike a lot of chatter on the net about the Orbo I have actually worked on it. In fact I’ve been exposed to all the different versions of it.
This blog will be dealing with the ‘Solid State’ version."

"First up I don’t like the term Solid State Orbo as to me it implies that it is semiconductor based. Which it is not, it basically (sic) a device that has no moving parts. It relies on a rotating magnetic field in the same way that a 3-phase induction motor does."

"The method by which the field is rotated is quite clever but unfortunately at this time I can’t go into the details of it in the public domain."

His team named on the project blog are:

Phil Watson
Donal O’Donovan
Tony Wilson

"We plan to demonstrate the Solid State ORBO at various locations around the Cork area. ASSUMING IT DOES WHAT IT SAY’S..."

"As things are still at the early stage and as we don’t have enough test results yet --- we don’t know where or when we’ll demo it. Watch this space."

We'll be following Phil's progress here on Free Energy Truth.
