Defkalion: We Invite Independent Testing

Defkalion lays down the gauntlet with an invitation for indepenedent testing of it's Hyperion LENR reactors.

They predict that a COP of 20 or more will be determined by the independent testers.

In a lengthy statement outlining the testing methods Defkalion stated "PDGT welcomes further requests from internationally recognized and reputable scientific and business organizations interested to conduct their independent tests on “bare” Hyperion Reactors."

New Announcement Of Testing

According to Defkalion, this particular invitation to test is entirely separate from the independent testing ALREADY scheduled to occur in the early part of 2012. "As it was announced in our November 30th Press Release, a series of third party tests on Hyperion products have been scheduled to be performed within the first months of 2012, immediately after our product’s certification. This announcement does not refer to such product tests."

Obama State Of The Union: "Clean Energy Industry Never Been So Promising"

In President Obama's State Of The Union speech which has just been aired, Obama described a "clean energy industry that's never been more promising".

In obvious reference to the control and supply of Iranian oil he looked to the future energy needs for the US "A future where we're in control of our own energy, and our security and prosperity aren't so tied to unstable parts of the world".

As well as natural gas and other conventional energy, Obama made a commitment to dump oil company subsidies and proceed towards a clean energy future.

"We have subsidized oil companies for a century. That's long enough. It's time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that's rarely been more profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that's never been more promising." - President Obama

Nowhere is the promise of innovation greater than in American-made energy. Over the last three years, we've opened millions of new acres for oil and gas exploration, and tonight, I'm directing my Administration to open more than 75 percent of our potential offshore oil and gas resources. Right now, American oil production is the highest that it's been in eight years. That's right - eight years. Not only that - last year, we relied less on foreign oil than in any of the past sixteen years.

But with only 2 percent of the world's oil reserves, oil isn't enough. This country needs an all-out, all-of-the-above strategy that develops every available source of American energy - a strategy that's cleaner, cheaper, and full of new jobs.

We have a supply of natural gas that can last America nearly one hundred years, and my Administration will take every possible action to safely develop this energy. Experts believe this will support more than 600,000 jobs by the end of the decade. And I'm requiring all companies that drill for gas on public lands to disclose the chemicals they use. America will develop this resource without putting the health and safety of our citizens at risk.

The development of natural gas will create jobs and power trucks and factories that are cleaner and cheaper, proving that we don't have to choose between our environment and our economy. And by the way, it was public research dollars, over the course of thirty years, that helped develop the technologies to extract all this natural gas out of shale rock - reminding us that Government support is critical in helping businesses get new energy ideas off the ground.

What's true for natural gas is true for clean energy. In three years, our partnership with the private sector has already positioned America to be the world's leading manufacturer of high-tech batteries. Because of federal investments, renewable energy use has nearly doubled. And thousands of Americans have jobs because of it.
When Bryan Ritterby was laid off from his job making furniture, he said he worried that at 55, no one would give him a second chance. But he found work at Energetx, a wind turbine manufacturer in Michigan. Before the recession, the factory only made luxury yachts. Today, it's hiring workers like Bryan, who said, "I'm proud to be working in the industry of the future."

Our experience with shale gas shows us that the payoffs on these public investments don't always come right away. Some technologies don't pan out; some companies fail. But I will not walk away from the promise of clean energy. I will not walk away from workers like Bryan. I will not cede the wind or solar or battery industry to China or Germany because we refuse to make the same commitment here. We have subsidized oil companies for a century. That's long enough. It's time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that's rarely been more profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that's never been more promising. Pass clean energy tax credits and create these jobs.

We can also spur energy innovation with new incentives. "The differences in this chamber may be too deep right now to pass a comprehensive plan to fight climate change. But there's no reason why Congress shouldn't at least set a clean energy standard that creates a market for innovation. So far, you haven't acted. Well tonight, I will. I'm directing my Administration to allow the development of clean energy on enough public land to power three million homes. And I'm proud to announce that the Department of Defense, the world's largest consumer of energy, will make one of the largest commitments to clean energy in history - with the Navy purchasing enough capacity to power a quarter of a million homes a year".

Reading between the lines, Obama has clearly been briefed on the fact that LENR is rapidly coming of age as a replacement for polluting energy sources such as oil, coal and traditional nuclear power. This is the biggest signal yet from the US administration that we are moving to a new era of clean energy where oil subsidies are gone and replaced with incentives for clean energy developments.

Energy from LENR (Low Energy Nuclear Reactions) although not directly referenced in the speech, will no doubt form one of the core clean energy technologies for the future. This speech (just like the recent Zawodny NASA video) is just another part of the drip feeding process, preparing the public for the inevitable transition to LENR.

NASA Video: So what was all THAT about?

What a bizarre week it has been.

Most puzzling of all has been the amazing NASA video which went to great lengths to extol the virtues of LENR, promising us a world of clean abundant energy before being shot down in flames by the same people who made it. As you do.

In our original post discussing the Zawodny NASA LENR video we said "This video by NASA seems to validate the work we have been seeing recently by Rossi, Focardi, Piantelli and Celani and the claims that LENR (Cold Fusion) is a valid technology with enough power and potential to completely replace fossil fuels and polluting nuclear power."

So in no way did we single out the work of Rossi and his eCat. What we said was that the NASA video validated LENR as a valid technology and Zawodny confirms this in his blog. It does not matter who crosses the finish line first, what matters is that LENR becomes integrated into our lives and we start to drag ourselves out of 19th century energy generation.

This is just an opinion, but If Zawodny is backtracking both by dissasociating himself and his work from "official" NASA control and by claiming LENR is not commercially viable then that's NOT what the video is hinting at. Want proof? Read the comments on the YouTube page and you'll quickly realise that people are certainly not interpreting the video as merely proof of excess heat.

Can NASA REALLY say they are surprised at the public reaction to the video?

The video has the official NASA logo stamped all over it, it repeatedly refers to NASA scientists and NASA patents. Meanwhile the video contains images of trucks, planes, ships and other power hungry transportation and hardware that presumably could be powered by LENR, so why are those images in the video if it was not intended for people to read this conclusion? What was the purpose of the video then? If it was to simply confirm that LENR produces excess heat and that it has real potential for the future then it's dead simple. Don't put trucks and planes in there. And how does one go about getting a video onto the official NASA technology portal? I'm willing to bet that anything going on there needs some sort of official sign-off and approval from a MUCH HIGHER AUTHORITY. Was it the censors day off?

And what about the timing of the release of this video? Is it just a coincidence that several LENR researchers (including Rossi) have been confirming USEFUL results and plans for commercialization? Is Rossi's seemingly rampant march towards commercial products pushing NASA on information release a little quicker than they would have liked?

It could be argued that the video was intended to go out with the intention of slowly drip feeding the public and preparing them for this new technology and that slowly over time this would have ramped up until we accepted it like it has always been that way. How do you boil a frog? - Very slowly so that it barely notices the slow rise in water temperature.

What ACTUALLY appears to have happened (and again this is only an opinion) is that NASA miscalculated the amount of public interest in LENR generated by Rossi over the last year. After realising that the public reaction was BIG they quickly moved to pour cold water on the story before it hit the global mainstream media. Their planned slow drip-feed may have turned into a potential Tsunami ahead of time.

Again, this is just an opinion, so no-one needs to get their knickers in a knot.

But buried in this whole story is a small but important fact and that is that Zawodny confirms that LENR in his professional opinion has been shown to produces excess heat. Essentially LENR (cold fusion)works!

Just try getting an official government agency to admit cold fusion was a real prospect even 12 months ago and I could have sold you a bridge in Brooklyn.

Can Pons & Fleishmann now get an official apology? Will the scientific community now admit they were wrong? Where are the old establishment oligarchs now? The ones who made sure cold fusion was killed off before it even got started.

In terms of the bigger picture, Cold fusion is no longer a dirty word.

National and international official govt policies on LENR have been CHANGED. The question is who ordered it and why?

Hey Pseudosceptics - Does THIS Sound Familiar?

Prescott identifies them in all but name: "Pseudosceptics" or the now more appropriately named "PseudoscepTICKS".

This also comes on the back of an admition by Royal Dutch Shell that they too through their "Shell Game Changer" program are working on LENR technologies to replace fossil fuels.

LENR - Low Energy Negative Reports

Will Andrea Rossi's eCat prove to be the real thing to take the world by storm or will it be revealed that it was all an elaborate hoax? One person who thinks that Rossi does not have the goods is Steven Krivit, Editor of New Energy Times.

From January 14th when Rossi conducted his first public tests in Bologna until midway through June New Energy Times editor Krivit made a total of 16 posts on Andrea Rossi and his eCat, almost all of them benign scepticism.

Krivit then personally met with Rossi in Bologna, was totally unimpressed with what he saw and then presented his findings in a series of blog reports and that seemed to be the start of the hostilities between the two.

On 17th June Rossi retaliated and called Krivit a "SNAKE" and a "FAKE JOURNALIST" on his blog. Krivit said nothing and remained silent for a couple of days before writing, "I may continue to read some of his interesting messages for a little while longer, but not much longer. Research and interviews are over. The pen now hits the ink."

Since then, at least since June 16th 2011, New Energy Times writer Steven B Krivit had written a total of 41 separate blog posts in condemnation of the ecat and Rossi's credibility, and has also taken aim at the credibility of those who Krivit claims are "promoting" Rossi or his eCat. That works out at approximatelty one post every 4 days.

If the data provided to Celani is correct and complete, the device is real and is demonstrating some excess heat – on demand, no less."

"As far as Rossi’s story of a self-sustaining reactor, I am inclined to believe it. It is very similar to a story that Piantelli told me."

MSNBC On Rossi's Visit To Massachusetts

MSNBC.com reports on Senator Bruce Tarr's invitation to Andrea Rossi to base any eCat manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts.

It's a regurgitation of the original (and better) article in the Boston Globe. The MSNBC article is only mildly significant in the sense that it is yet more mainstream coverage. Also worthy of note is that MSNBC (as mainstream as you can get) are actually covering the story more than the majority of the "alternative media" sites who should be ALL over this news.

Widen Your Outlook

Yes, there looks like a much bigger economic collapse coming, and yes, Isra-hell are shaping up for an attack on Iran which could pull in China and Russia and escalate into a much wider conflict, but that does not excuse the alternative media from reporting on one of the SOLUTIONS to the problem!

I don't know what it is, but they seem to report on every other alternative topic (except free and exotic energy developments) for some reason. It's time they got with the program.

NY Teknik Update On Defkalion

In an interview with Ny Teknik, Alexandros Xanthoulis, representing the owners of Defkalion, stated that:

Defkalion started to think of developing its own technology in July 2011
12 Hyperion prototypes are now running.
The factory of 11,000 square meters in Xanthia will be ready in four months.
The Defkalion lab will be transferred to a 2,500 square meter lab at the Xanthia location in a few weeks.
19 license agreements have been made.
No money has yet been transfered. Interested companies will pay 500,000 Euros in an escrow account before testing a final product. Half of the license fee of 40.5 million Euros should be be paid at delivery of know-how, and the remaining part after ten days of operation of a factory producing Hyperion products.
27 scientists work in-house at Defkalion
A total of 40 people are employed at Defkalion.

Xanthoulis gave no further information on verification of the core technology, except that it will be made by third parties later this year.

A: In a secondary circuit sending heat to an environment, any typical thermostat can adjust the energy demand to Hyperion. Hyperion PLCs are monitoring on line the Delta on calorimetry in the prime circuit, auto-adjusting the production (opening/closing the reactor(s) accordingly)

Self Sustain

A: Hyperion is a system, not just a bare reactor. And the system uses pumps and electronics that need electric power in normal operations. So, there is not really a sustain mode in such systems.

PS Please notice also that we indicated COP for single or mult-reactor systems and not for bare reactors.

Price of Hyperions

Q: Can you give us an idea about hyperion's price list? (Products and annual services)

A: Indications on prices for the Greek market you can find in several publishes in Greek newspapers in Press Section of our site. In case you can not read Greek, this indication is 5.500euro per multi-reactor system (installed) and some hundreds of euros per year for recharge/support/service. Official price lists for local and international markets will be announced later.

Note: All multi-reactor systems will have the same selling price, regardless if they are of let us say 20 or 35 or 45 kW nominal power. In all cases, 9 reactors are in the kernel. Up to 4, 7 or 9 respectively in this examble, are allowed to operate concurrently by their setup. So the recharge period varies, as far as all 9 reactors may service the system following a balancing algorithm. So, recharging period is not always 6 months. It can be more as stated in specs.

Nickel Consumption

Q: This question, by a consumer point of view might probably be irrelevant since each six months (in single reactor units) the nickel charge and the hydrogen bottle get replaced completely, but I was wondering on a scientific point of view what is the consumption of Hydrogen and Nickel in grams for, let's say, a 10 kW unit continuously running at 100% power for six months? (or better and more generically, using a more proper unit of measure, in g/MWh) Could you also state how much Hydrogen and Nickel would such unit start up with?

Perhaps for Nickel a more correct word than consumption would be transmutation (assuming this is what happens in the reactor core, as with Rossi's). If you agree with this, could you tell how much of it, in the example above, gets transmuted after six months of use?

A: The most serious reason for a 6-12 months recharge of Hydrogen and Ni is not their consumption (or if you like the transmutation of Ni) but pure engineering reasons. Hyperions are quite new, so we will need to run diagnostics test for the kernel's peripherals in situ at least every six months in the first period, according to our present analysis of different components or subsystems and the service protocols. Later on, these protocols may change as we expect.

So, for your consumer point of view, we have to assure you that your Hyperion is properly monitored and cared, as we have to. For your scientific point of view of your questions, please note that less than 15gr of Ni are loaded in each reactors chamber during its production - Thank you

Exclusive Rights

It is interesting to note that references to Andrea Rossi's have been removed from their website with Defkalion now claiming full rights:

According to this new NY Teknik article the University Of Siena ran a spectroscopy of Rossi's eCat at some point and consequently it revealed to them the contents of the reactor, presumably revealing the secret catalyst which enables the Nickel Hydrogen to fuse.

Defkalion Announcement: May Include Testing / Certification by Independent Third Parties

What to expect then? Well, based on their own statements we can hazard a guess at:

Third party testing and certification of Hyperions underway, perhaps even positive results from a credible third party. More documentation including Final product specifications and probably some photos.

Initially, Defkalion had been working closely with Andrea Rossi on an ambitious commercial project to roll-out eCat fusors to the masses. The plans included a factory working at full capacity producing 300,000 Hyperions (DGT Name For Their eCat Fusor), with plans for additional factories and research facilities in Greece.

That is until the relationship soured with Rossi citing financial issues as the cause of the breakdown in relations. Defkalion countered with accusations that Rossi did not "meet parameters such as the stable operation of the device for at least 48 hours".

Defkalion seem very confident launching their Hyperion technology, while Rossi has been adamant that Defkalion do not know the industrial secret in order to successfully manufacture and produce the reactor cores. The industrial secret being the method of preparation and treatment of the powdered Nickel with an as yet undisclosed "secret" catalyst.

When you look at everything that has happened since January, Defkalion have sensibly bowed out of getting involved in name calling and the media circus that surrounds Rossi and have maintained quite a professional stance since they first came on the scene.

One of their first statements was very positive indeed and also seemed to imply that Rossi's was not the only technology they were working with when they said Defkalion has: "Enhanced technology and engineering on Rossi’s invention or similar inventions".

On October 10th they made the following statement:

The technological breakthrough of LENR (or CANR) is no longer speculation. It is a fact that will eventually change the world’s energy problems and its sociopolitical divides through cheap, clean and green energy. The world needs LENR as a new energy source. Although change will not happen over-night, LENR will help reduce CO2 emissions, lower the cost of energy, and provide longevity to our planet’s energy needs.

Defkalion sees its role with responsibility and asks the community at large to continue its support.

Defkalion has:

• Enhanced technology and engineering on Rossi’s invention or similar inventions

• Prepared business models for international expansion

• Established a strong network of global contacts

• Prepared legislative and certification procedures

• Ensured national, regional and international network in politics and business

• Prepared global financing

Defkalion has worked in close partnership with Andrea Rossi for a very long time to prepare a commercially viable and industrially applicable product using his invention. Defkalion invested a lot of money to evolve Rossi’s E-Cat lab prototype into its Hyperion product. Defkalion is now at the stage where its industrial prototype is ready for production.

More recently they produced this press release which features pictures of Hyperion prototypes and of the inside of their workshop.

Soon after they clarified some of the points made in the press release:

"We have to clarify that two of the pictures in our November 14th Press Release are from a low-end Hyperion single reactor pre-industrial version7 prototype. Several components on it (isolations, security components, anti-explosive protection, casing, functional I/O etc) have been deliberately omitted."

"Final products for mass production, that will be released following their prototypes certification, do have some minor differences in engineering/architecture and their assembly quality. A full specs sheet as well as product's basic design and their scheduled third party testing will be released as per our announcement of November 14th.

More recently an article with Defkalion's Alexander Xanthoulis in Greek publication Tovima shed more light on developments with Defkalion painting themselves as having a more stable and advanced product than Rossi. The article has been through Google translate, so as always some of the meaning is lost in translation.

“We not only continue our program and we are almost ready, with technology that precedes that of Rossi during a year. Specifically, within the next 15 days there will be announcements and initiated testing and certification by independent third parties. We will present the final product – not just a laboratory prototype – with all its subsystems to operate according to European safety standards. ”

“All the technology used in devices at the Hyperion KW and systems 1 to 5MW are our own design – different from those of Rossi” he replied. “As for the control, was already our own design and construction, and Mr. Rossi has signed acceptance certificate shows that it is ours. Even in the recent trial in October when he used some modules of our own design. However, the main and big difference in our device than that of Rossi is that our system is stable in performance, while that of Rossi or the last test failed to yield stable for more than five and a half hours. ”

So the rift between you was not due only to non-payment of first installment repayment, said Mr. Rossi?

“Not sure. We had finished the 15 million dollars of first dose, but Mr. Rossi did not sign the protocol of receipt, asking him to meet parameters such as the stable operation of the device for at least 48 hours. This was the real cause of the interruption of cooperation, but not celebrated in the media because they want to continue a deleterious confrontation. Us us interested in real progress, and this success. The technology will present a few days the world will be entirely Greek and appreciate its contribution to the overthrow of what exists in the energy market. “

One rather positive outcome in all this is for neutrals is that despite the cavernous differences of opinion between all of the parties, Defkalion, Rossi and even Piantelli and Krivit - they all agree that the LENR phenomena is real. This fact alone should give sleepless nights to even the most determined pseudosceptics.

It is possible that this announcement by Defkalion will be relatively tame, but I don't expect that to be the case. There is a small, but nevertheless potential possibility that If Defkalion have progressed far enough to announce positive independent test results from a well-respected third party then this whole thing could go supernova overnight. Whether tomorrow is that day or many weeks away I have a strong feeling we ain't seen nothin yet.

A smattering of mainstream media exposure so far is nothing compared to the what is coming down the line.

Then he talked about his own test, he said that it proved that heat was made but he couldn't say how, and he dont believe it's cold fusion because that impossible by today's science. But it could only be explained by cold fusion happening. He was very confused :).

He also said that Rossi is definitely not a fraud and that his friend Focardi and Levi is absolutely not frauds. They are his friends and he trust them. Rossi on the other had he said to be a black box.

He said that NASA had contacted him and asked about rossis ecat. So NASA was the first American customer that bailed. Apparently they wanted to know how it worked and Rossi wanted to keep the secret for himself.

Sven Kullander did not know who the final costumer is.

He also said that Rossi can be a little bit angry at people who don't trust him. That's why Sven have kept on Rossi god side and never told him that it don't work.

Sven said that he have asked Rossi if Uppsala university can independently test the device, with the demand that all information will be reveled to the public. If Rossi says no to this Uppsala will not test the device.

One of the most interesting thins was that Sven kullander sad that Focardi and Levi are both excellent professor that he believe a 100% in, Rossi on the other hand is a little bit of a black box. He said that there are two black boxes in this history, Rossi and he ecat.

He also said that his colleague Roland Peterson (think that was his name) is very positive on the ecat.

Sven also showed the test of the nickel fuel and the copper nickel that is left after the reaction. They will come out with a full article on this when all the testing is done. But the first test show copper in the waste.

In the last 24 hours what claims to be an "Official eCat" website was launched - their newsletter contains an address listed in the heart of London't financial district.

Previously eCat.com hosted full screen professionally edited videos conducted with many of the men closest to the technology including Focardi and Stremmenos.

Today the site looks reasonably professional, having had a makeover and now claims to be the first site in the world to be taking offical orders for Rossi's eCat technology. Upon subscribing to their newsletter, the confirmation email conatins the following address:

The Great Pseudo Scam Sham Slam

We keep hearing the same thing from pseudosceptics about Rossi - "It's a scam!".

You will see the same breathless "It's a scam!" proclamation written in the comments section of almost every eCat article or blog, but EVERY SINGLE ONE of the very few people saying it have the same three things in common - they never stop to explain how the "scam" is supposed to work, they appear have a clear establishment bias and to them Rossi is worthy of a much coveted place in Ocean's 11.

They seem desperate for everyone to believe them, when most of us are content to see how this all plays out, having never invested a single penny. Why is this? There is not one single individual I know of that has a single penny invested in Rossi's eCat yet the drooling pseudos would have us believe that Bernie Madoff has been re-incarnated and relocated to Italy and we're all in desperate need of their protection from the evil eCat.

Have you noticed that the pseudosceptics do something else that's very odd as well? They seem to manifest a bizarre and irrational concern for the financial well being of invisible investors whom they've never met and yet they are for some unexplainable reason, desperate to protect. Isn't that just the queerest behaviour? Especially when the private central banks are successfully pulling the biggest con in decades on hundreds of millions of people right now. Are the sceptics trying to protect us from them? Are the scep-ticks doing anything about the Indian call centres who call you weekly to pretend your computer has a virus and then quickly take your credit card details? So what's the obsession with Rossi all about then? Clearly they couldn't give a toss about protecting people's wallets - it's a smokescreen for another agenda and people need to get wise to this.

The pseudos describe themselves as sceptics or "critical thinkers", but what they forget is that to be a true critical thinker or sceptic involves being critical of your OWN hypothesis as well as others, otherwise we are ALL sceptics and the meaning of the term "sceptic" is rendered useless.

Their style of self-branding as "critical thinkers" also has an implicit declaration of superiority, by somehow implying that everyone else does not apply their own critical thinking processes.

Not once have the all seeing all knowing "critical thinkers" explained to us gullible mortals the explanations behind the accusations they throw at Rossi. I for one would like to know, so I don't get conned.

The definition of a scam is: a confidence game or other fraudulent scheme, especially for making a quick profit; swindle.

Whether the pseudosceptics like it or not, the fact remains that they no more know the truth than anyone else. If we are to belive that there is indeed proof of irregularities of one form or another then let's hear it! Let's have the hard evidence please.

Where are the double crossed investors? Where are the irate scammed customers? Where are the gullible venture capitalists who've been taken for a ride? Nowhere to be seen. Why has it taken Rossi so long to cash in on this? Wouldn't he have cashed out at the very peak of the preceedings after the 1MW demo? That's a bit odd isn't it, but the pseudos don't mention this.

Why are Defkalion still defending Rossi technology despite Rossi's clear contempt for them? Are they in on it as well? Are we to assume that the various multinationals involved so far have not carried out due diligence? Is it conceivable that Focardi, Bianchini, Rossi wife, the milkman, the tramp in the park and other individuals have been conned for years, or are the pseudos saying that THEY are all in on the long con as well?

Why conduct 5 or so public demos, every time risking the whole thing on some over-observant
nosey bastard spotting the deliberate mistake? Why would you say you are going to demo a 1MW plant and then only demo a half megawatt? Why not go the whole hog and say you done a full 1MW? These questions are avoided by the "critical thinkers".

Next time the pseudos say "scam", ask them to provide proof since they are all such experts on how the great con is supposed to work, or maybe get them to explain how something so complex and underhand can be run for such a long time in the presence of so many highly educated and competent people. Ask them for the same thing they demand from believers - ask for a scientific and well thought out reasoning and dimes to dollars they can't do it.

And what about all the bribes that Rossi is being accused of issuing? By my reckoning he'd have spent more on bribes than he could ever expect to get back from the first 2 years sales of eCats.

If the pseudos are to be believed Rossi has also overnight become the world's most talented actor worthy of several Academy Awards, not to mention becoming a master at hiding giveaway body language in every one of his videos so far.

If you believe the pseudos then that's quite a scam he's got going there, not to mention he's a helluva talented individual.

I don't pretend to know exactly what is going on with the whole eCat thing and how it will all turn out in the end, but one thing is for sure - at this precise moment in time the scam hypothesis being touted is speculative crapola based on nothing more than a dripping mixture of unsubstantiated horse manure, establishment fear, bias and paranoia.

Official National Instruments Response

We withdrew the last post on National Instruments buying the 1MW plant due to it's speculative nature.

Later this morning I rang National Instruments to get some clarification on their position and spoke to a lovely lady called Trisha - NI's Corporate PR Manager.

She has given me an official statement from NI's Vice President of Corporate Marketing and eBusiness.

"There are thousands of researchers and engineers in the world trying to solve alternative energy challenges and National Instruments provides tools to many of these scientists. One example is the Leonardo Corporation who intends to use NI tools for various applications. Specific details are still in development.

Andrea Rossi has made a great choice in asking NI to help design and build the eCat control systems and this is YET ANOTHER VALIDATION that Rossi's eCat technology is the real thing.

The statement from NI is very reassuring. It confirms that there is the beginnings of a positive relationship between one of the worlds best companies and Andrea Rossi's Leonardo Corporation.

Maybe we went about it the wrong way, but now at least we have an actual response from the company themselves and a firm denial. We are not sitting around debating the issue for weeks on end. With that in mind, it means we still have a BIG question.

Pseudosceptics Disappointed Again

There have been vitriolic outbursts by pseudosceptics in the past 24 hours on the VORTEX-l mailing list, mainly by one or two well-known debunkers. These debunkers of anything that is considered non-mainstream were hoping that NI would deny that any relationship with Rossi existed. It seems that they were wrong on this occasion and that this may be the start of a long and interesting relationship.

Pseudosceptics Use Steorn By Association To Attack

By-association attacks are commonly used by debunkers to try and discredit evidence. This is where they use an unrelated subject matter to try and discredit the current topic under discussion.

Maybe you'd be surprised to know that four of the top eCat blogs right now are owned and operated by current Steorn SKDB members who's interest is not solely confined to magnet motors and solid state systems. The pseudosceptics are very confused and upset right now , so are lashing out in every possible way to try and discredit this blog in particular using Steorn as an example of this.

Our position on Steorn remains constant. Steorn have legitimate technologies that present anomalous and unexplainable results. They are currently working on some very interesting projects and it is not the last you've heard of Steorn.

Let's get with the program here folks. Producing complex control and monitoring systems for a new kind of technology that no-one has ever studied before dictates that you have one in your possession. Not only have that but that you know EXACTLY how it works.

So for NI or any other company to achieve this they are going to need one and they are going to have to take it to bits, test it in every conceivable way and understand how it behaves. How can you safely monitor and control something that you don't fully understand?

Rossi: No More eCat Public Tests

He has of course said this before and then ended up doing more public tests, so there is every reason to believe that this situation will change. With huge public interest in this and a recent media feeding frenzy it is hard to imagine no more public tests.

eCat: A Week In The Media Reviewed

Well, that was quite a week.

After over 10 months we've now seen the eCat break through into the mainstream awareness. In the past week alone, we've seen the eCat go from relative obscurity to being covered in some of the larger and well-known mainstream press. It's still not on the 6 o'clock news, but it's a start.

MSNBC wrote a brilliant article "Italian cold fusion machine passes another test".

Fox News were fairly unbalanced when they finally got their teeth into the story, but they still left themselves some wriggle room in the title of the story just in case it all goes pear shaped and they need to bail out - "Cold Fusion Experiment: Major Success or Complex Hoax?".

The Daily Mail also got in on the act with surely the worst story of the lot. A badly researched piece littered with innacuracies and sensationalism. They neglected to mention that many researchers DO BELIEVE that cold fusion / LENR, exists. There was no reference to other international research showing excess heat in various experiments, nor did they actually speak to anyone. (Perhaps they should stick to alarmist health stories and the daily exercise routines of various b-list celebs.- Ed)

They also printed a photo claiming Rossi had said he has produced a pattern of triple track atoms, which is at the heart of the cold fusion theory, when Rossi has claimed nothing of the sort and the photograph has nothing to do with Rossi's claim.

CBS were more on target with a short but balanced article. They took the trouble to speak to an actual human being who knows something about LENR - MIT professor and cold fusion supremo, Peter Hagelstein.

"Are physicists generally, and DoE in particular, so sure that excess power in such experiments is impossible that the very large number of experimental results which show an excess heat effect clearly should continue to be ignored?" Hagelstein asked.

Other stories worthy of mention are the recent articles in Forbes and today, Wired.co.uk's David Hambling wrote a good piece on what to expect as this story inevitably evolves.

We've heard some accounts of journalists being ridiculed by their more mainstream science aligned counterparts for writing about the eCat. This is a form of information supression and should be resisted at every turn. We applaud the journalists who've stuck to their guns in the face of intimidation.

Despite the mainstream starting to get involved, the well dug-in big establishment mouthpieces of TIME, Nature, New Scientist and The Economist still predictably refuse to budge on reporting anything. My prediction is that they will continue to ignore anything eCat well into the forseable future. More scoops for everyone else then I suppose, while THEY will be remembered for passing up the news story of the century.

We told last week of how AP News had attended the eCat 1MW demo and then subsequently refused to report on the story despite having the exclusive! We were Twittered to stop asking questions, sit tight and wait for Godot - unsurprisingly AP are still sitting on the their elbow and no story has since materialized. In fact, it's actually quite ironic as they've now been scooped by everyone else despite being the only mainstream news agency present - (that's quite an achievement - is there an award for something so dumb?) Ed.

This is a very interesting period of time where you can see exactly which mainstream publications are the most controlled, who has an agenda to serve, and who has the most shareholders with conventional energy directorships on their board. Who's interests are served by keeping quiet about a new non-polluting clean energy technology and which rich white men would rather have a their gonads trapped in a rusty bicycle chain that allow the ecat onto the market.

The ecat is in direct competition with the very powerful multi TRILLION dollar energy industry players, many of whom have controlling interests and powerful friends in the media, so watch out for dirty tricks, false stories, personal attacks on Rossi's character and an entourage of disinformation goons descending on the comments sections of ecat articles.

It's an old phrase, but it's highly relevant in this game.

It is entirely possible that the Navy contracted the supervision of the tests out to a NATO Colonel on behalf of the US Navy. Additionally, it also fits that the customer was not concerned about recieving what is essentially a prototype product for further development.

The US Navy has a long history and association with cold fusion going back to the Pons and Fleischmann era, even studying cold fusion in secret for over a decade while mainstream science shrugged at it's very mention.

FOX News: Surprisingly Positive eCat Coverage From Mainstream

Cold Fusion Experiment: Major Success or Complex Hoax? - That's the headline on the biggest mainstream eCat story so far.

Since last week's apparently successful eCat test the mainstream coverage of such a monumental story has been extremely thin on the ground largely due to mainstream dogmatic denial of cold fusion as a legitimate science. Since then, there have been a few reports surfacing in Forbes a few days ago and then Discovery News yesterday, a regurgiated version of the FOX story.

But sadly AP are still dragging their heels. House of Rothschild owned Associated Press seemed to pull the plug on the story of the century and we all wondered why? So set about to convince them that their decision was badly informed. AP reporter, Peter Svensson's TWITTER account must have nearly melted in the aftermath as pleas were made to rethink the spiking of the story.

Our own Free Energy Truth Facebook Group were informed of Svensson's TWITTER account and the email address of AP's Health & Science Editor Editor Kit Frieden. We asked that readers (politely) ask why there was a delay or a seemingly all out refusal to tell the world about this new clean primary energy source?

Still The latest news from AP is that we've all to "stay tuned" apparently. If this is up-to-the-minute news, then I've got my own newsflash - "Elvis is dead!".

eCat Censorship: AP News Report Killed Off

The Associated Press have been sitting on the Andrea Rossi World Exclusive for 4 days now. If you ever wondered if your media was controlled, then surely you have your answer now.

In fact, other news coverage live from the event was apparently curtailed to give AP their supposed "exclusive". You need to get angry about this and start holding those people to account, because this is Chinese style information censoring in it's purest form.

On Friday, an event that could possibly change the course of human history occurred, but unless you are one of a small contingent, you would be forgiven for knowing absolutely nothing about it. A 1MW cold fusion reactor designed and built by Italian Andrea Rossi was successfully tested in Bologna, Italy. For over 5 hours it self-sustained producing 470Kwh / p/h with no input power. If this is not worthy of a news story, then I don't know what it.

The old Pons And Fleischmann Argument

Blaming the previous history of Pons and Fleischmann for the lack of news coverage, and that somehow the media are reluctant to look stupid, is a tired and limp argument that is consistently regurgitated by people who refuse to wake up to the truth that they live in an information prison. It's a convenient excuse, dragged out by mainstream apologists who refuse to believe what they know deep down.

On the day of Friday Oct 28th, AP (Associated Press) were flying in a reporter, supposedly from New York to cover the momentous event. Even then, the word is that they had to have their arm twisted to even show up, but someone did turn up in the form of Peter Svensson, Technology Writer for the Associated Press, NY, who told Sterling Allan that "the reason the mainstream press hasn't been covering this is because Rossi has been very picky about who he lets in".

Rossi Blamed

Well, even if it were true that Rossi was being selective about which media he allowed to be present, the fact remains that AP WERE THERE, THEY DID GET IN and they DID get the "exclusive" on the night, so the only thing holding themselves back from publishing it NOW is what precisely?

American Reporter Gets The Brush Off From AP

Online newspaper "American Reporter" has been following the eCat story also. Editor in Chief Joe Shea made enquiries to AP and was given the runaround also:

"This reporter, in fact, was warned by someone named Jerome on its national desk in the early hours of Saturday morning not to be too quick to believe an A.P. Reporter was there - although his name, Peter Svensson, and picture with other journalists appears on some of those sites tonight - and I was criticized for "driving A.P. coverage" of the event." - Joe Shea

He went on..

"Since the E Cat is just as important as the invention of the radio, the Internet, the light bulb and the atom bomb, and since - as DOE spokesman Sean Murphy told reporters in 2009 about the device's fundamental element, hydrogen - so it can completely replace oil by 2050, this reporter thought he was doing the A.P. a favor when he called up their national desk and told them about it just 30 hours or so before the test."

"Associated Press Science Editor Kit Frieden (kfrieden@ap.org) didn't answer her phone when we called, but I'll will bet you dollars to donuts 1,500 calls from A.P. members would not get her to budge.

"There are no conspiracies, Joe" an A.P. editor in London told me. We sure wonder."

Resist The Supression

I strongly urge everyone reading this to make it your priority to share, discuss, talk and propagate the eCat story as far and as wide as is possible within your social networks. Let the corporate media know that this won't go away..

I wouldn't blame anyone for writing to, emailing or faxing AP to ask (politely) why they have chosen to spike the story of the century and keep countless millions living in ignorance of a clean energy future. Is it any wonder that newspaper readership is down year on year and that more and more people are finding their news from alternative sources who don't have corporate agendas?

What has happened here is a form of free energy supression where hiding the truth is as simple as not telling the masses the news of revolutionary clean energy technology.

Wired Reports On Rossi Success

Kudos must go to Wired journalist David Hambling for having backbone (when others flopped like limp jellyfish) to write a fair summary of the recent 1MW Cold Fusion test by Andrea Rossi.

"Against all the odds, Andrea Rossi's E-Cat cold fusion power plant passed its biggest test yesterday, producing an average of 470 kilowatts for more than five hours. (A technical glitch prevented it from achieving a megawatt as originally planned). The demonstration was monitored closely by engineers from Rossi's mysterious US customer, which was evidently satisfied and paid up.
The energy was output in the form of heat, measured by the quantity of water boiled off. The results are reported in NyTeknik and Pure Energy Systems News, who both had reporters present for the test. Associated Press also sent a correspondent who should be filing a story in the next few days (one suspects his editors might have some questions)."

eCat Self Sustained at Half A Megawatt With No Input For Over 5 Hours

In yesterday's test of the 1MW eCat plant, after a period of time it Self-Sustained With No Input Power For Over 5 Hours While Producing an astonishing 470 Kwh/ph. 100 smaller eCatalyzers made up the whole plant which is housed inside a shipping container.

"According to the customer’s controller, Domenico Fioravanti, the plant released 2,635 kWh during five and a half hours of self sustained mode, which is equivalent to an average power of 479 kilowatts – just under half the promised power of one megawatt." NY Teknik

"There were some issues, so it couldn't be run at full power in self-looped mode, but what it did do was plenty impressive." - Sterling Allan, PESWIKI

On completion of the test. Small water leak is visible.

Breakthrough

On completion of the test Rossi was asked if he thought it was a breakthrough:

"If I think the test of today is a breakthrough? I think yes, yes because today we have seen no more small 5 or 10 kw unit, but now we have overcame the difficulties connected with the basic engineering to make something to go in self sustaining mode to make 400 Kwh per hour."

"You can also think that hundreds of Billions of dollars have been spent to try to have a cop of 1,1 with nuclear fusion. Today we have made a theoretically endless CoP making 470 Kwh per hour of completely free energy, free of fuel and yes, I think this is a breakthrough. Of course this is the first step, but it is a very important first step."

The Customer Report

According to the report the test was met with approval from the customer and the 1MW plant will now be shipped to the customer. it will then undergo further tests

in order to develop the technology.

There is still no real indication who the customer is, but clearly marked at the top of the report and then subsequently scored out with a pen is the word "colonel" in front the controller's name Fioravanti. Rossi indicated that the customer belongs to one specific category of organisations, and the title Colonel could be an indication that the customer is military - although this is by no means confirmed.

There is speculation on the possible customer identity however. An observant person noticed that in the properties section of the attached Excel datasheet that was posted was the author's name: a large Bologna company called "Manutencoop Facility Management", however they may not be the actual customer, but just a company contracted to help out on the day.

Thanks to Clanzer for the info - Update from Sterling around 1:30pm GMTI just got back from my turn. I was able to shoot a few pictures and take some video. The reason for the embargo on taking photos was personnel reasons. They don't want the engineers and testers to be shown, to keep them confidential. The company doing the testing does not wish to be known at this time. A quick comment from the AP writer who is here. The lack of coverage from the mainstream media is not due to lack of interest but from the lack of cooperation from Andrea Rossi. He has turned a lot of media away who have wanted to come in. The AP writer has gained Rossi's trust over time, and hence was invited to be here today.Rossi will be sending us all the data this evening.Wish I could say more, but it will have to wait. Great day so far.

Why does Krivit keep calling Rossi a promoter? Why not just come out and say "You know what guys, I just don't like him"? Strange.

Rossilivecat takes the effort out of wading through rossi's Blog. It tracks Rossi's comments in a bold orange colour. Should probably say hello to my friend Eric at this moment as he is the programming expert behind the site.

Steven Krivit has been very calculated in his timing of his latest Rossi "hit-piece". His blogpost is entitled " Extraordinary Scams Require Extraordinary Claims. Well, we might also say to that - "Extraordinary Accusations Require Extraordinary Proof". He calls the Ecat an "electric tea-kettle" and then claims that Rossi pinched the tech from Francisco Piantelli. Krivit also pays homage to Piantelli because Piantelli prefers peer review by the old boys network to engineering and commercialization. What is it with establishment toadying? The Establishment has SUPRESSED these technologies for decades. Rossi is right. Build it and if it works then people will buy it.

Apparently AP (Associated Press) are flying a reporter in to cover the event, but where are FOX, CNBC, BBC, Reuters, NBC, CNN and all the rest of the major media?

Today in Bologna something very special will happen that could potentially touch the lives of everyone on the planet.

Andre Rossi's 1MW eCat Plant will begin operation in a series of tests designed to prove the technology to the US based customer - and more importantly to the waiting world. A successful test of the 1MW Energy Catalyzer should be enough to take us into a new era of cheap, clean energy generation, possibly triggering a positive economic tide to lift all ships.

The only clue we have to the identity of the mystery customer who is in charge of the tests came from blogger Daniele Passerini yesterday when he said "it is a well-known and largest industrial group". Yesterday we speculated that it could be General Electric and duly sent off a press inquiry to them, however as of this date we have not recieved a reply.

Rossi confirmed on his blog that he is raring to go with a "We are Ready!" proclamation. But this time Rossi will take more of a back seat during these tests.

In addition to the people listed we are told that there will be "prominent scientific journalists" in attendance, so let your mind wander on that one for a bit. If the test goes to plan and the customer is happy, then over the next few weeks the ripples from this will spread out like a tsunami as people start to take notice. It's hard to imagine how the media silence can be maintained on the back of unquestionable proof of a new clean primary energy waiting to be tapped.

Safety

There is always the question of safety when you are dealing with super-heated steam, but Rossi has always maintained that the eCat has very good safety built in should anything go wrong. But this is a slightly different proposition. 52 eCats running simultaneously inside a shipping container is a whole different ballgame. Hopefully all will go well on the night regarding the safety of the participants.

Rossi Inside The 1MW Fusion Plant

Yesterday there was a rumor doing the rounds that Rossi's customer was in fact the US Navy. Today however, Daniele Passerini, the Italian blogger and close friend of Giuseppe Levi (who is normally clued into inside information) said the customer "is a well-known and large industrial group".

"And finally we come to the E-Cat, in particular the first test plant of 1 MW. Beyond the short time available to me to write, I have very good reasons at this time to keep a low profile and not talk about it on the blog, I'd rather not say more until October 29. Then try to make it up to an account by providing as much detail as possible, but as far as possible. I hope that by then there may be updates as well on the opening of the E-Cat experiments in Uppsala and University of Bologna.

I confirm that there is a customer interested in buying the 1 MW if the test is successful: it is a well-known and largest industrial group (I gave my word not to say below). I confirm that the test set-up mode is "closed doors" have been requested by the customer."

Passerini has since January, been a proven highly credible source of information because of his friendship with Giuseppe Levi and his close involvement with behind-the-scenes events in Bologna. A well-known, large industrial group who could put their weight and financial muscle behind mainstream adoption of LENR could catapult the eCat from relative obscurity to the most talked about phenomena in living memory.

It is extremely difficult to think of another prior development or invention in history that could bring such dramatic change in a short time to so many people. But with the promise of change and shifting economic and geopolitical power balances comes censorship from the networks of mainstream corporations that really run the planet.

Reporting on the eCat is like fighting an information war and like any war the first casualty is always the truth.

More Mainstream Media Censorship

Yesterday, we also had some more concerning reports of mainstream censorship of the eCat and all the events in Bologna.Vaughan Granfield used our Open Blog to tell us the following:

"I have recently been bloging the British news paper called The Guardian about various possibilities and possible applications of how the e/cat may help humanity industry and the environment .But i find that they are removeing all traces of any blog that even uses the words Andrea Rossi or E/cat except a few just to cover themselves. If any British bloggers dare, try the guardian and see how free we are."

*Free Energy Truth has also separately contacted a handful of very high profile media figures and organizations for comment on the eCat and have received either no response, or no comment.

Wikipedia Gatekeepers Continuing Their Own Brand Of Censorship

"On October 6th 2011 an E-cat ran in a completely stable self sustained mode for over three hours. The power output was estimated to be between two and three kilowatts. So there you have it folks. If information does not exist in a peer reviewed publication, then it does not exist, (According to Wikipedia), even when that information comes from a reputable source. The information the masses are getting to see by is being filtered, sanitized and cherry picked. Perhaps the drooling pseudosceptics who police Wikipedia have part-time jobs manning the Chinese Firewall?

I've got news for them. They will lose the information war.

Energy-Storage Membrane Outstrips Existing Rechargeable Batteries and Supercapacitors

Researchers from the NUS Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Initiative (NUSNNI) have developed the world's first energy-storage membrane, answering the need for cost-effective and environmentally friendly energy storage and delivery solutions.

The research team, led by Principal Investigator Dr Xie Xian Ning, used a polystyrene-based polymer to deposit the soft, foldable membrane converted from organic waste which, when sandwiched between and charged by two graphite plates, can store charge at 0.2 farads per square centimetre. This capability was well above the typical upper limit of 1 microfarad per square centimetre for a standard capacitor. The cost involved in energy storage is also drastically reduced with this invention, from about US$7 to store each farad using existing technologies based on liquid electrolytes to about US$0.62 per farad.

eCat: "Container Cat" Is Ready For Friday - Are You?

The big test coming up on Friday 28th is the absolute pinnacle of the eCat calender.

Since early in January we've all been following the twists and turns of a rollercoaster story that has been both sublime, ridiculous and above all very entertaining. On Friday "Container Cat" as I have called it, will either make the history books by producing a Megawatt of thermal energy or will blow up like an over-microwaved rice pudding.

After a handful of tests some are utterly convinced and yet some are still holding out for independent testing. It is true to say that the testing so far has lacked in-depth accuracy and scientific precision, but it is also apparent that something very odd and indeed special is happening when an eCat starts up.

If it were not for the fact it's true, the real life events of Rossi's eCat adventure would surely be the makings of a good fictional novel.

Secret Customer

The latest development is the mystery surrounding the customer who wishes to buy Rossi's 1MW plant. Rossi has not said so, but presumably the customer does not just want one plant, but the rights to commercialize and manufacture hundreds, maybe thousands of plants.

The story so far from Rossi is that the customer is highly secretive and does not want their identity revealed to the public at large and that on the 28th the customers consultants and representatives will be there to make the required measurements required for proof that the ecat does exactly what it's supposed to - make enormous amounts of heat from an as yet unknown safe nuclear surface level reaction.

That's the story anyway, but let's delve a little deeper.

Why the secrecy?

What are the possible motivations for all the secrecy here? Well, the first and (in my opinion) most unlikely reason is that the customer just doesn't want the hassle and publicity of having a connection to such a seemingly unlikely technology that would perhaps dent their carefully crafted credibility and image.

The most likely reason is that the company desperately wants to maintain a competitive market advantage and the only way to guarantee this is to show no apparent public interest in the ecat.

This approach could give them a very financially rewarding head start on the single biggest market opportunity of the century. Trillions of dollars await the successful market leader who will be the first to properly conquer the newly emerging LENR energy sector.

Top TRENDS researcher Gerald Celente recently described the new wave of energy technologies that are poised to hit us as "The greatest investment opportunity of the 21rst century." Right now, Rossi's eCat is leading the field based on it's apparent market readiness. A beurocratic quicksand of safety certifications and approvals still stands in the way and must be negotiated before the proper adoption of this new primary energy source, but the rewards that await are utterly incalculable.

It recently emerged that Rossi's now soured deal with "divorced" former business partner
Defkalion Green Technologies was worth an astonishing 200 Million Euros in a single royalty payment. The on-sale of further plant licences (including blueprints and training) is confirmed by Defkalion as 40.5 Million Euros per 300,000 units produced. This would be ultimately dwarfed by the overall potential European eCat sales market, certain to be counted in the hundreds of Billions by year two and beyond.

There is another possibility for the customer's apparent desire for secrecy which leaves a
distinctly sour taste. That is the possibility that the customer is of the military hardware variety and intends to use the eCat technology for combat / conflict operations. It doesn't really need to be said that any army who can harness vast amounts of energy, which are highly portable and can be delivered into theatre operations quickly (in say, a shipping container) is a huge advantage.

Can the secrecy be maintained?

Although the customer does not want to be identified, it's representatives will be present to take measurements on Friday. However, they will not be alone. Rossi has said that scientific journalists worthy of note will also be present along with a handful of other selected invitees. Will those people be prevented from talking to the customer representatives? Will balaclavas and voice morphing microphones be standard issue on the day? - I doubt it.

And what of Defkalion in all this?

Therein lies another crazy novel in itself. Defkalion on one end with an apprently MORE market ready product and Rossi on the other claiming they haven't got a clue how to make an eCat reactor core? Have Defkalion back engineered Rossi's eCat already? Are they bluffing? Or have they hooked up with LENR rival, Piantelli and have HIS technology at the heart of their Hyperion modules? It's a sticky mess of claims and counter claims and someone needs to clear it up.

The Rossi story started off quite simply, but every day this tale has been slowly aquiring more and more complexity. Trying to follow it, now requires a 6 month apprenticeship and the patience of a saint whos just been on a "How to Be More Patient" training course.

From secret customers, on / off partnerships, contradictory statements, to clowns, snakes, coffee machines and much argued over test results. On Friday, a successful run of "Container Cat" will hopefully put an end to the bickering.

I think I need a double shot of steaming espresso, Italian of course.

if I understand:

- Test of October 28 is not made public and will be conducted according to the protocol required by the customer but the results will be announced sworn by top scientists?

- The plant will be tested on November 28 will be a prototype or a model ready for industrial applications?

- It 'confirmed that the phase of commercialization of the devices will start in November or you will have to wait, even if the result is positive proof of 28.11, the result of the predicted R & D work of the universities of Bologna and Uppsala?

- Potential customers, of course if you have adequate credentials, can refer only to the results of that test, or will provide additional information to evaluate the opportunity and convenience for any purchase?

- There will be an official announcement to the market that will make the precise moment at which potential customers can make contact with you or your company (Leonard Corporation) or remains valid indication of the month of November 2011?

"Private" 1MW eCat Test Will Feature Live Webcam

Yesterday we were told that the 1MW eCat test would be a private affair. Selected invitees only and representatives of the customer who is stepping up to buy the 1MW reactor. Today we find out that it won't be so private after all. A webcam will broadcast live pictures from the test. What exactly those pictures will feature is still not clear at this moment.

eCat 1MW Test Will Be Private

Today we learned that The 1MW eCat Reactor Will Not Be A Public Test Like October 6th Was.

Instead, the test will be carried out privately for a small group of individuals. This group will be made up of consultants and representatives of the as yet unnamed Customer as well as "prominent scientific journalists". The customer will be monitoring the progress and is ultimately interested in the report results on completion of the test.

Dear Sean Parker, Yes, after the 28th no more public tests, we will be too engaged to manufacture and test for our Customers. We will continue R&D work with Bologna University and Uppsala University, but the work will not be public. Actually, also the test of the 28th will not be public, being a test made by the Customer, with his experts, along a contractual protocol. Anyway it will be the last work with a public report made upon the resulting numbers.

In response to a question Rossi also tells us that "prominent scientific journalists" will be attending the test. The questioner asks "In other words, will this test be the one that finally makes the E-Cat known to the larger public through mass media reports?" Rossi's reply "Yes".

One immediately thinks of prominent scientific journalists from Nature, New Scientist and all of the other heavyweight mainstream publications, but it remains to be seen if that is what Rossi means by "prominent scientific journalists". Enough time has passed and enough interesting experiments have taken place to rouse even the most dopey journalist out of their iPhone obsessions, so it certainly makes sense that by now most of the big media would have been making enquiries (perhaps behind the scenes). This 28th Oct test is after all, "The BIG One".

The results of the test may not become known publicly for some time after the experiment concludes (perhaps even weeks), but Rossi seems confident that news of the eCat as a new primary energy source will be delivered to the sleeping goggle eyed masses.

Unlike Rossi, I am less confident that the energy industry and it's political apparatus and media partners will bow in submission to the new kid on the block - LENR. Unless of course the transition to these technologies has been designed to happen this way?

It was with profound regret that I read your public letter and personal attacks against Defkalion. I was even more surprised by the obvious contradiction with your status as Honorary Vice President and Head of our company’s R&D. In legal terms, this could be considered by ill-wishers as a breach of contract.

Please recall that we have incurred considerable damage in the recent past from inaccurate statements. For example the announcement of alleged rights of Ampenergo, which are contradictory to our contractual rights with EFA. Christo, as you remember, the contract we signed on November 17, 2010 with EFA, clause 1.13 clearly states that our global presence excludes the USA and military applications.

As a key player involved between the contracted parties, you also signed a document relinquishing your impartiality to become a formal member of Defkalion’s BoD with the position of VP of R&D, which was given to you after your personal request for this position and was unanimously agreed by our BoD.

Since June you have unfortunately missed all of BoD meetings and R&D development breakthroughs. Although you and Rossi received, signed and approved our product designs for Version 3, we have made significant progress since then and are now in Version 7, which leads to a full working prototype ready for production.

Your declaration that "we don’t have the technology" is in contradiction to your recent attempts to entice away our scientists which was not concluded successfully.

We stress again that it is a pity that our designs were applied wrongly, demonstrating in public, immature prototypes with wrong protocols and instruments as explained in our communication on Monday, 10th October.

In all such cases, had there been close cooperation with Defkalion to develop the technology together, as opposed to focusing and putting pressure on us to receive money, many of these unfortunate legal and technical misunderstandings could have been avoided.

As such, all these created serious delays for all contractual parties and for payment to be made according to our contract. You will safely recall that payment is based on the successful demonstration according to protocols and procedures that have been supplied to EFA, whose conditions have not been met yet.

Many will agree that this situation is confusion to the point of comic tragic. Defkalion has the science, the know-how and the ability to proceed, the team, the electronics, the engineering, as well as all the funds required to move this project forward; there is no delusion. Yet, there seems to be a strange urgency to avoid the kick-off of this project but instead just to create negative noise. Defkalion respects your position and friendship, as well as Rossi’s creativity and ingenuity. However, patience has its limits and business has its goals. It would be a shame for Defkalion to move forward in LENR either alone or with alternative technologies.

I hope you agree that such a situation of confusion can only create great consternation. However, Defkalion confirms that it has the organization and professional team, plus all necessary infrastructure in order to direct the availability of funds. I sincerely hope that we shall press the start button together.

Yesterday we cautiously received more information from a trusted source that Rossi's partner firm is indeed Kleiner Perkins Caulfied And Byers.

Then later in the day we subsequently learned that Raymond Zreick of FOCUS magazine was asked at the October 6th demo if the partner firm was indeed Kleiner Perkins? His answer - "No comment". Hmmm...very intriguing.

In a separate development today we were 100% categorically (and we have the proof) that:

Kleiner Perkins (Menlo Park) Has An Interest In The eCat. How deep an interest is not clear, but we definitely know that they know of it and that they are (at the very least) monitoring this with much interest.

To avoid unnecessary speculation I emailed Kleiner Perkins last week and did not recieve any response. My question to Rossi also did not get an answer when he is normally so good at replying to my questions. Today again, I asked KPCB again through their Facebook Page to confirm or deny their interest in the eCat technology. So far, no official confirmation or denial, but it does now seem almost certain that they are Rossi's partner firm.

It looks like the genie is out of the bottle, so I would expect an announcement from them or Rossi very soon. If confirmed, then you cannot fathom what this means for the development of the eCat technology.

There is no better or bigger green tech investment firm on the planet that I can think of. If anyone can bring forth a new age of clean energy and power then it would be a company of this standing.

I expect we will know for certain in the coming days.
